There is something special about birds.
I have used them as a recurring motif throughout my design career for their simple relatability as a wild yet peaceful companion.
From feeding the sparrows in Regents Park as a child, to lying in the spikey grass of my local West Country common listening for skylarks, I have always related to the unassuming yet plucky characteristics of the small brown bird. Beautiful-in-its-own-right, determined and contained.
The Velo Vixen birds have flexed this feathered notion of modest beauty. Capitalising on a simple streamlined asymmetry, my design concept was to encapsulate character and energy within each bird, working up an inner range of subtle colour and pattern.
Channelling their feral curves, I delight in the infinite variety of personality and poise. Inquisitive, playful, energetic and companiable, the VV birds are the perfect buddy for any ride. This veritable flock will add a stylish smile to your day. Neat, cool and collected.
VeloVixen’s padded cycling knickers are the perfect option for those rides where you want the comfort of a chamois pad, without having to wear a pair of cycling bib shorts.
